SINGAPORE — The Latin American Chamber of Commerce Singapore (LatAmCham) and Singapore Food Manufacturers’ Association have formalized their commitment to enhance bilateral cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The signing ceremony took place on July 6th,2021, in Singapore, marking a pivotal moment in the collaboration between these two influential organizations.
Representatives from LatAmCham, led by Angela Torres H., CEO & Founder of LatAmCham, and Singapore Food Manufacturers’ Association, represented by David Tan, President of Singapore Food Manufacturers’ Association, gathered at the signing ceremony to solidify the partnership.
The MOU signifies a commitment to strengthen economic and trade relations between LATAM and Singapore, with a particular focus on fostering cooperation in the manufacturing industry. Key components of the agreement include:
Market Access and Trade Facilitation: LatAmCham and the Singapore Food Manufacturers’ Association will collaborate to identify and explore avenues for expanding market access for Latin American companies in Singapore and the broader Southeast Asian region. Established in 1967, the Singapore Food Manufacturers' Association (SFMA) is a professional and active trade association with more than 420 members.
Today, SFMA organizes no less than 60 industry activities annually such as monthly capability-building workshops, leading overseas tradeshows, study and trade missions, supermarket promotions, local consumer food shows, as well as inter and cross-industry networking and business matching sessions.
